The Undoing of Lemminkainen

Schoolwork. Our assignment was to make a stamp, the theme of which was Kalevala. Since I didn't want to draw Väinämöinen or pike's jaw or such, I settled on something that became a bit too hard to handle XD

So there's a story in Kalevala where Lemminkäinen wants to marry Louhi's daughter. Unfortunately, Louhi won't give away her daughters' easily, and sets some tasks for Lemminkäinen to accomplish. One of them is to kill the swan of Tuonela. There is an old Finnish belief, however, that states that the one who kills a swan will perish himself. And this is what happened to Lemminkäinen, as well.

There are things in this painting I'd very much like to correct, but ah, well, even with its faults I ended up liking it.

The black shape seems to be hard for people to identify, but I won't tell you what it is. I'll tell you that you have one as well, and then give a virtual cracker to all those who can stare at it long enough to figure it out
